As the name suggests, the cemented carbide shelling wheel is prepared from cemented carbide, and its main function is to remove rust from the wire rod, and the cemented carbide shelling wheel has good product quality, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, hard high quality and long service life.
The iron oxide scale on the surface of the wire rod is relatively brittle and has little elongation, and the steel wire is locally stretched and extruded by bending, which can effectively remove a large amount of iron oxide. For different materials, the elongation of the wire can be simply tested by means of experiments, and the size of the shelling wheel can be determined. When the sample is placed in the tensile testing machine, with the increase of tensile strength, the sample expands, and the iron oxide scale on the surface of the sample begins to fall off, and the results show that the elongation is about 8%. Most of the iron sheet falls off, and only a part of the iron oxide powder remains on the surface of the wire, which can be removed by scrubbing. In practice, the elongation cannot reach 8%, because too high elongation will seriously damage the surface of the wire and affect the quality of the wire. The peeling rate of iron oxide scale is not only related to the diameter of the carbide shelling wheel, but also to the angle of steel wire edging. The larger the ladle angle, the greater the bending deformation of the wire rod when passing through the shelling wheel, and the peeling rate of iron oxide scale will naturally increase. However, the excessive wrapping angle not only makes the shelling wheel wear out quickly, but also increases the required traction, and also causes damage to the surface of the wire.
